FEASIBILITY: We have been carrying out the feasibility of sheet metal bodywork elements in co-design for many years, supporting the car designers with solutions aimed at reducing mold construction costs and assembly times.
Our feasibility carried out in the Autoform simulator is always accompanied by hypotheses of the molding method with hypotheses consistent with the possible production positions, also integrating functionality and assembly analyzes.
METHODOLOGY: The 3d methodology is performed by experienced staff in surface modeling and virtual simulation. Starting from the feasibility of the particular, the method is developed considering all the production leasing problems.
The method is always developed with a view to molding repeatability, optimizing sheet metal requirements and with solutions capable of reducing springback and production waste. The activities are carried out following the rules of the various car manufacturers from time to time.
